We started to see a glimpse into just how bad the FBI was in regards to using Twitter to censor American Citizens for speech they disagreed with. They spent plenty of time trying to send accounts they didn’t like, under the pretense of violating Twitters own Terms of Service, as revealed in these next two installments of Twitter Files.
These are the very files that the FBI made a statement on… Rather than coming out and stating that they had nothing to do with this, that this was all a big misunderstanding, or any sort of refutation of the matter at all, the FBI instead, doubled down and called those releasing these bombshell documents “conspiracy theorists”, whose “sole aim” is to discredit the agency.
As such, the journalist Matt Taibbi released additional files, that show that not only was the FBI involved, but so too, was the CIA. (Big shock at this point, right?) In these files he goes over how the FBI was working with Big Tech, alongside the CIA, State Department, Pentagon, etc., to thwart American Citizens from expressing themselves and talking about important topics on the “virtual town square” space. (A direct violation of our First Amendment Right, by the way.)
You can read the two different sets of Twitter Files (Parts 8 & 9) below.
